Continuously sketching and drawing as well as training the eye and hand is a must. And studying the hand of others can be very rewarding. Here an ink study I did of one of the great Masters of Ink in the form of Heinrich Kley. Brilliant lines and an ability to emphasize just the right areas with a warm deep black.
